Our vision at A.F.T.A is to illuminate a global community of women empowered to rise from adversity, inspired by Isaiah 60:1. We aim to foster resilience, strength, and sisterhood, enabling each member to achieve her full potential and shine brightly in a world that acknowledges and celebrates her journey.
Our mission at A.F.T.A, 'Arise From The Ashes', is to empower and uplift women through the guiding light of God's Word, specifically Isaiah 60:1. We strive to create a safe, nurturing community where every woman feels supported and valued on her journey of personal and spiritual growth. By fostering an environment of love, understanding, and mutual respect, we aim to inspire each member to rise from the ashes of their challenges, embracing their strength and potential. Together, we seek to make a meaningful impact, not just within our community, but in the world around us, as we live out our faith and encourage one another to shine brightly.

"My prayer is to faithfully follow the calling He has given me and to continue the work my mother started. I'm grateful for God's tender mercies and grace. He has called me for such a time as this, preparing His armies to reclaim what the enemy has stolen and to thwart his plans. As a watchman on the wall, I am committed to praying and supporting God's work, always ready to sound the alarm against any threat. To God be the glory forever, amen!"

I firmly believe that it is through engaging with God's word and the power of prayer that God reveals our true purpose in the kingdom of heaven."
When I read Ephesians 4:11-14, I immediately thought of the ministry of AFTA and the impact it is having on my life. I have begun to identify the gifts that God has blessed us with amongst the leadership of this beautiful ministry. God is indeed deliberate in His love, kindness, grace and mercy toward us. This ministry is a gift that God has put together for us, His daughters. These women are determined to live by God’s word and to love Him with all their heart, their mind and soul. Answered prayers, renewed lives, healing and deliverance is a way of life for the women of AFTA. They knocked and the door has been opened for all of us to live the lives that God has ordained for us to live as His daughters. I am renewed, enriched, blessed and am so excited and grateful that the women of AFTA answered the clarion call! God bless you !
Almost 4 years ago During COVID, I was pregnant, found out that my daughter's spine was outside her body. Doctors told me that I should abort my daughter because she was going to be a vegetable if she was ever to be born. I remember telling Evangelist Nadine. And she prayed for me and my family. During my pregnancy my family and I moved to Connecticut we had my daughter Sarah Grace. She had 3 brain surgeries, 3 shunt implants, a spinal surgery and 4 leg surgeries. Sarah Grace was also born with no knee cap on her left leg. But to God be the glory it grew in through our trials the ministry of AFTA was always there to uplift us, pray for us, cry with us and loved on us. We have watched Sarah Grace become our miracle on earth. She has not only learned to walk, but she has kept me closer to God. And a lot of what we have been through the ministry of AFTA has always been by our side. We thank God for this ministry and all the women that continue to stand by our side.
This is my testimony of how AFTA has impacted my life, I was invited by Evangelist Nadine to last year's Christmas celebration, and the moment I walked into the event I could feel the anointing, the spirit of God was heavy in the atmosphere and I knew I belonged there. I was added to the AFTA prayer line, and my God, you can feel the presence of the Holy Spirit on the phone line, when the ladies “pray” I can feel a shift, tears will be flowing. When Evangelist Nadine prays I know she's hearing from the Lord. Because something always happens before or after to confirm the word she has spoken. The women of AFTA have impacted my life so much that I feel complete and confident that I have my sisters in Christ praying for me, with me and for us. The support from this group or community is undeniable. They have proven that prayer can move a mountains. “Hannah prayed for a son and God answered her prayer” (1 Samuel 1:10-20). ...thank you AFTA please keep up this amazing dedication to Christ.
Five years ago, I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic and stomach cancer, which had also spread to my lymph nodes. Facing a grim prognosis, I began planning my own funeral to ease the burden on my husband. During what I thought would be my last birthday, I met Nadine Graham, a hairstylist introduced by my sister. Our immediate connection deepened when I shared my diagnosis and she revealed her own loss to similar cancer. Nadine introduced me to AFTA, a prayer group that meets early mornings via Zoom. Despite my initial hesitation about the early meetings, I joined and was embraced by a group of supportive, God-loving women. This community has supported me through my health challenges and personal issues, becoming a vital part of my miracle journey. The impact of their prayers even influenced my previously non-believing husband, who now recognizes the power of their faith. I'm grateful for the day I needed my hair done, which led me to this transformative experience with AFTA and a deeper faith in God.
AFTA Ministry nourishes and heals your soul with the word of God. At one of my lowest points in my life, I called Evangelist Nadine in tears. I simply could not take it anymore. Years of unemployment, rejection after rejection, and to top it all off, getting sick, which required two major surgeries all during COVID. I was invited to join AFTA and participate in the prayer line. I was given a scripture to read: Luke 1:45 “And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.” Now, God has never said that you won’t go through difficulties, during those difficult times when we can’t do for ourselves, he carries us. AFTA ministries are prayer warriors, God praising and God fearing women! Little is much when God is in it. “Trust in the Lord, and do good: so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.” (Psalm 37:3) AFTA makes an astounding impact in your life, accepting and welcoming to all. All things are working for my good, he’s intentional…never failing.
A.F.T.A is more than a ministry. A.F.T.A is a sisterhood of prayer warriors. Since participating in this ministry, my prayer life has improved and my relationship with God has been strengthened. A.F.T.A helps us focus on glorifying God and spreading the gospel. “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them”- Matthew 18:20 The presence of the Lord can often be felt on the prayer line when our group comes together to pray for the concerns of our sisters. We share our testimonies, have a good laugh, and encourage our fellow sisters to keep their faith. With A.F.T.A you feel supported in your faith.
To our leader Evangelist Nadine Shorter Graham, our Pastor and ministers, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible impact this ministry, AFTA, has had on my life. Before AFTA, I was in a dark place, feeling overwhelmed by the challenges life had thrown my way. But through our ministry, I found hope and support. AFTA helped me to rise from the ashes of despair and find a renewed sense of purpose and faith. Our ministry provided a safe space where I felt seen, heard, and valued. Through the love, encouragement, and guidance of leaders and our team, I have been able to navigate through some of the toughest times in my life. As far as bible studies are concerned, the biblical teachings and unwavering support have been a beacon of light during my darkest moments. I am forever grateful for the work, the love, and the difference AFTA has made in my life. Special thanks all my sisters for being a source of strength, hope, and inspiration. With deepest gratitude.
I have been a member of the women ministry AFTA for over a year. This ministry has impacted my life tremendously. I was able to regain and build up my strength within the Lord. I can wholeheartedly say I’m walking stronger in the Lord. The outstanding love and support these ladies give me and my family warms my heart. They have been here for me through thick or thin. I thank God for placing me in this ministry especially during a time I needed support the most.
When I first got invited to the prayer line I did not expect the impact it will have on my relationship with God . I have always been in the church and I always prayed, but through this AFTA I learned to have a relationship with GOD. He is with me through each step of the way all I have to do is call on him, and even if I don’t call He is there. I learned through AFTA to read my Bible more and study the scripture; so I know how to attack what ever comes my way. My faith and prayer life have grown to the point He is the first one I talk to in the morning, through out my day and the last one I speak to before I close my eyes. I knew God all my life but I met him through the community of AFTA. I was invited during a time I didn’t know who I was and after growing through His word I know whose I am and who I am. This ministry is beyond amazing from the weekly morning prayer and the monthly bible studies every month.
Being a part of AFTA has been a tremendous blessing in my life. I started out praying with the ladies of AFTA through the way of an invitation, but I am now a participant of the AFTA ministry as a way of sustainability. Joining the weekly prayers have transformed the way I pray, respond to stressors, war in the spirit, but most importantly protect the anointing God has given me. I remember joining a morning prayer session specifically when I was in a low state, to the point of throwing in the towel and I was reminded that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood” Ephesians 6:12 but to call the negative spirits as what they were and to declare the power of God over every dead situation that I was facing. I was encouraged to ARISE, Pray, stand firm and watch God move mightily on my behalf. That specific encounter has changed the entire trajectory of how I approach challenges that I face; this empowered me in every way. When I hear these Women of God encourage each other, it creates an atmosphere of togetherness and love. I anticipate each prayer session with AFTA with the expectation of a sound word, breakthrough, deliverance, and hope. I am truly grateful for the inspiration given by God to create this platform for such great women empowerment
